Jingle the Bells…The holiday events are coming!
December has arrived and Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa are all mingled together. I feel that this coincidence has a special meaning this year. Amid the many differences there are in this world, there are many things that we all have in common. Sharing holidays and celebrating with our friends and families, singing songs of the season, and enjoying traditional meals always warms the heart just like a big cup of hot cocoa!
Here at Sparkle on Stage we are excited to share our holiday celebrations with all of you.
On Saturday, December 7 at 6 pm the cast of Almost Hamilton will lead a Holiday Sing A Long! Join us on the Nautical Mile Esplanade as we help to light the Christmas Tree and have a cup of Hot Chocolate provided by Sam’s Scoops. Then find a spot to watch the annual Boat Parade. If one cup of Hot Chocolate wasn’t enough stop by Sam's Scoops and visit our Coffee Bar for more Hot Chocolate,Coffee or Tea. Sam’s is also featuring Frozen Hot Chocolate for the more adventurous winter lovers.
SOS is happy to host the Pride Cabaret to raise funds for Pride on the Mile. The show features some wonderful performers singing and playing songs of the season and if the spirit moves you, you can join in and sing along. Scoops Coffee Bar and Ice Cream will be open for refreshments. There will also be a raffle so bring some extra change! Tickets are available at www.sparkleonstage.org
Need something fun for the kids to do after school while you do a little holiday shopping? On Friday. December 13, at 4:30 join Ms. Dori as she takes the children through an adventure at Story Time by the Sea. An hour and a half of magical fun. Open to Daycares and individual families. Tickets on sale now!
Our holiday party continues with Freddy Flav’s Holiday Celebration. 7pm on Saturday, Dec. 14th. A fun evening every time Freddy appears on our stage.
Our weekend doesn't stop there. Sunday the 15th, the cast of Almost Hamiton will perform a staged reading of the musical by the same name. This is a FREE community event. It starts at 3pm.
The same evening we welcome back Spoken Wordz Open Mic. This is also a free event open to the community. It’s a place for adults (18 and over) to express themselves through spoken word, poetry, stories, music, and comedy. We will be partnering with them on a toy drive.
Please consider visiting us and dropping an unwrapped toy for our Toys for Tots toy drive. It’s part of our mission to support our community and we thank you in advance for helping us to do that.
We want to wish all our neighbors a joyful holiday season!
