What is happening for kids this September at Sparkle on Stage.
So much has happened this summer, it is hard to believe that it is already September. We are very excited to begin our fall programs. It is going to be an autumn to remember!
Summer is over and kids are going back to school. If you are looking for a fun after school activity for your child, look no further. Sparkle on Stage has many options to bring some excitement into September.
For anyone looking for something for your children to do after school, we are beginning an After School Cultural Arts Program. It is 5 days a week and runs from after school until 6 pm. Each day the kids will do something different -- from art to music to acting.
We also are having our auditions for our second annual Nutcracker performances. Our Nutcracker (It's not Just a Ballet) is based on the original story. There will be sword fighting, singing, acting and dancing. There will be magic and music. It will be part of our Winterfest, and our 2nd annual performance at the Freeport Memorial Library -- but more about that at a later date.
We are excited to offer African Dance taught by our own Angela Addai. If you saw her daughter perform in Once on This Island, you know how much fun African Dance can be -- but it is also a good workout. These classes will be for kids in Grades 2 to 5.
Our Storytime Sundays are continuing. This time come and listen to the effervescent Julia for Julia's Jammin Storytime Sunday as she reads, sings, and crafts her way thru stories and songs. Crafts and ice cream included!!
These are just some highlights of what we are offering. Please check our website Sparkle on Stage for more information.
